On March 22nd, World Water Day, the Institute of Technology and Research (ITP) met with the Federation of Commerce of Goods, Services, and Tourism of Sergipe (Fecomércio), the Social Service of Commerce (Sesc), and the National Service for Commercial Learning (Senac) to discuss possible partnership projects focused on the environment.
During the meeting, the representatives of the institutions emphasized the importance of the subject and the need to join forces to expand environmental actions. Paulo do Eirado, the CEO of ITP, highlighted the significance of sustainability and the institute's role in contributing to projects that deal with liquid effluents. He stated, "We came to the Federation of Commerce and had an extremely productive meeting where the discussion revolved around sustainability. ITP definitely has a lot to offer here, working with liquid effluents, dealing with waste from beauty salons, schools, for example. This not only contributes to the environment but also to the education of students. This is the new world we are unveiling, where sustainability and planetary issues need to be part of the daily education agenda."
Marcos Andrade, the president of Fecomércio, emphasized the importance of the partnership with ITP. He said, "First, the meeting took place on International Water Day, and secondly, the current president of ITP, Paulo do Eirado, is a former director of Senac, so it is believed that he is still part of this institution. He brings the idea of water treatment to beauty salons, which means we will have something important and interesting, and this demonstrates the competence and intelligence of people from Sergipe. ITP now becomes a partner of the Fecomércio, Sesc, and Senac system."
Also present at the meeting were Alene Vanessa, the project and services manager of ITP, Marcos Sales, the regional director of Senac, Aparecida Farias, the regional director of Sesc, and members of the technical team from the institutions.
