About LCEM


This Laboratory is a member of the Northeast Catalysis Network and the Hydrogen Network. Supported by the Research Fund of the Federal Government (FINEP), Petrobras, and the National Council for Scientific and Technological Development (CNPq), LCEM conducts research in the areas of  'Use and Transformation of Mineral and Energy Resources', and 'Use and Transformation of Agricultural Resources'. LCEM researchers develop projects in the areas of:

- Preparation, characterization, and evaluation of catalysts and photocatalysts for the generation and purification of hydrogen;

- Sonocatalysis;

- Biomass for the production of biofertilizers;

- Purification of residual fat oil (GR);

- Solar energy.
