Laboratório de Eletroquímica e Nanotecnologia

Sobre o LEN


O Laboratório de Eletroquímica e Nanotecnologia (LEN) foi criado em março de 2010, e abriga as pesquisas relacionadas ao Grupo de Eletroquímica e Nanotecnologia (GEN) que está vinculado ao Conselho Nacional de Desenvolvimento Científico e Tecnológico (CNPq), e ao Programa de Pós-Graduação em Engenharia de Processos (PEP) da Universidade Tiradentes.

O Laboratório tem como missão contribuir significativamente para o crescimento do estado de Sergipe e do País, propiciando a criação e transferência de conhecimento e tecnologias para a sociedade, bem como a formação de recursos humanos de alta qualidade.

O LEN realiza pesquisas nas áreas de eletroquímica, eletrocatálise e nanotecnologia. Neste sentido, visa:

- O desenvolvimento de catalisadores nanoestruturados para a oxidação de alcoóis em sistemas de células a combustíveis;

- O desenvolvimento de materiais eletródicos para o tratamento eletroquímico de efluentes contaminados com substâncias orgânicas;

- O estudo das propriedades eletroquímicas fundamentais de diversos materiais eletródicos, visando também aplicações práticas dos mesmos;

- A produção de biodiesel usando técnicas eletroquímicas;

- A síntese de materiais dielétricos;

- Uso de líquidos iônicos para a síntese de óxidos metálicos;

- Estudos eletroanalíticos, objetivando desenvolver materiais e metodologias analíticas.
