The Institute of Technology and Research (ITP) has produced a video to celebrate International Women's Day, which is celebrated on March 8th. The initiative was led by the CEO, Paulo do Eirado Dias Filho, along with the administrative team of ITP, to recognize the importance of women scientists and the need to encourage female participation in science.
The video features testimonials from some of the female researchers at ITP, who share their experiences as women scientists, their perspectives, and emotions. They encourage young researchers to pursue their journey and not give up in the face of challenges that the profession may present. Through their stories, they demonstrate the significance of female representation in science and how their contributions are crucial for advancing knowledge.
ITP's data showcases the strength of women in the institution's research projects. Out of the 75 staff members, including researchers and administrative staff, 47 are women and 32 are men. Furthermore, 54.5% of the patents filed at ITP are submitted by female researchers, and 47.1% of the granted patents are attributed to women. These numbers reflect the participation and essential role of women in research and innovation.
ITP's initiative to produce this video reinforces the institution's commitment to promoting gender equity and inclusion in its research and technological development activities. ITP believes that recognizing and valuing the contribution of women scientists is crucial for the advancement of science and technology and for building a more just and equal society.
